Club News

August 22nd: 9:00 – 4:00 – Blue Ribbon Horse Show Promotional Table (AjPHC)
Come help us promote the Arizona Jr. Paint Horse Club. We will have an informational table near the arenas and would love some of the youth kids to share their love for paint horses with others!

Saturday, August 28th: 12:30pm - Show & Contest Committee Meeting
The meeting will take place at The University of Advancing Technology located at:

UAT
2625 W. Baseline Rd.
Tempe, AZ 85283

Saturday, September 4th: 8:00 am until 3:00 pm – Trail Course Painting and Pool Party (AjPHC)
We will meet at the Kuhlwein barn at 8:00 to begin the painting portion of the day. The paint and materials have been graciously donated by the Dunphy family, who has also donated their wonderful pool for an afternoon pool party. Lunch will be provided by the club. Please plan to attend this party as it will be a great way to give back to the APHC community and should be tons of fun too! Even if you are unable to attend all day, please plan on joining the party.

RSVP to Kristin Metler-Armijo at (602)316-0746 or at kristin.metler@nau.edu

Friday, September 17th: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm – AjPHC Meeting and Networking
This meeting will be at the Fall Classic Show in Prescott, AZ. We will meet in Northeast corner of the covered arena. Come join us to meet new and old friends, play some games and learn about upcoming events and activities.

Friday, September 17th:  6:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Annual AjPHC Ice Cream Social
This is becoming an AjPHC tradition. Come join us help show our appreciation to all of those who support our club. We will be dishing ice cream and serving up soda floats! What a nice way to kick off the show season. Donations will be accepted.

Board of Directors Meeting
Wednesday September 22nd at the Best Western Hotel in Casa Grande. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

September – November Scentsy Fundraiser (AjPHC)
We will be selling Scentsy Warmers as a fund raiser for the club. A friend of mine is a consultant and has graciously donated all of his commission to our club. We will earn %25 of the amount sold. Scentsy Warmers use a low-watt bulb to melt specially formulated wax slowly, maximizing the fragrance time of the Scentsy Bar or Scentsy Brick. With no flame, soot, smoke or lead to worry about, the Scentsy system is a safe way to enjoy more than 80 delightful Scentsy fragrances. For more information, check out: http://www.scentsy.net

Information for the fundraiser will be distributed at the September 4th and September 17th meetings.

Thursday, October 28th: 5:30 – 6:30 AjPHC Meeting and Networking
This meeting will be at the Harvest of Color Show in Scottsdale, AZ. We will meet in the barns. Information will be posted near the show office regarding exact location. Come join us to meet new and old friends, play some games and learn about upcoming events and activities.

Friday, October 29th: Evening (after timed events) Halloween JackPot Trail
We will need lots of volunteers to help set up the Halloween JackPot Trail course. We also want you to plan on competing in the class. Bring your best trail horse! It should be a ton of fun! More details will follow.

Saturday, November 5th and Sunday, November 4th: Arizona Festival of Horses (AjPHC)
We have been asked to have a booth that represents the Arizona Jr. Paint Horse Club again this year. The festival this year is once again in Queen Creek at Horse Shoe Park. Plan to attend and share your love for paint horses with others!

For more information about any of the AjPHC events shown above, please contact me at Kristin.metler@nau.edu or (602) 316-0746.
